Cream Streets Review
Foraging through the vaults to put together last year’s Unreleased 70s Porno Music compilation with partner Ron Jeremy, Don Argott came across the masters he composed for a Dick Dagger flick called Cream Streets.
The caper found Dixon Toofar reprising his role as Dick Dagger to battle Cum Lin Santiago, Dagger’s archrival on the streets who plans to topple his empire. With his woman, Putana Rodriquez, Santiago wreaks havoc on Cream Streets and kidnaps Dagger’s old lady, Peach Fuzz.
With Peach in peril, Dick must save the day and reclaim what’s rightfully his: Peach and Cream Streets.
While the film and soundtrack were both completed in 1975, the project was shelved due to subsequent findings of very questionable dealings which left the production company bankrupt.
Now, however, with the masters firmly back in Argott’s hands, we can live the plot of Cream Streets through the soundtrack. Cream Streets is set off by the theme and subsequently each character is defined. The plot heats up with "Get Peach Fuzz" and so begins the wild rollercoaster ride with "In the Way of Dick", "Dreaming of Dick" and "Dick Creeps In". The soundtrack climaxes with "Dick Saves Peach".
A "trailer" of the movie ends the disc, but there are no plans for its release. Thankfully we can rely on Mr. Argott’s skillful interpretation of the characters and plot of Cream Streets.
